Body-Shaming and Chronic Illness Episode 4: Moving On from Body Shame

Hello, my lovely spoonies,

I would love to extend my appreciation to all of you who supported and participated in this newly embarked plan to create motivation and spread awareness. Live Love and Hope series hopefully to continue in the future.

As today we reached the Season Finale of our Season 1 Body-Shaming and Chronic Illness. Today we tackle Moving On from Body Shame. I shared some tips that may be helpful in embracing and loving yourself in a very casual way. So in case, you missed the video, here are the tips:

  1. Find your way to acceptance. Accepting yourself and the new changes as your new normal can help yourself move on and embraced yourself furthermore.

  2. Attract positive thinking. Your mindset is powerful. Practice giving yourself positive affirmation and each you'll be surprised that you no longer think any negative thoughts about your body.

  3. Don't give a f***. Just don't mind all that they say. Shake it off! You don't need their verification because you by yourself knows the complete story of your scars and of your wounds, so be proud and don't give an f***.

  4. Find support. Engage yourself with people that understand you. If you find it hard to find support, look for support groups that can relate and understand you. Having someone listens, deeply understands your situation, and relates to you can make you feel better. In case you're a spouse, a parent, or a friend to someone battling Lupus or any other chronic illness, show your support to them. Uplift them and bring them up from their pains.

  5. Take care of yourself. Prioritized yourself and take care of yourself. You wouldn't want to be admitted, readmitted, and confined in the hospital always. That is why take care of yourself.

I hope all these tips can help you guys! By the way, in case you missed all the episodes, you can watch them with the following links:
